Self-Help Housing Program (homeownership)

GENERAL INFORMATION

HOMEBUYER EDUCATION

As a program requirement, a homebuyer education completion certificate will be required at the time you are determined eligible and your loan is being processed.  Therefore, it is strongly recommended that both Applicant and Co-Applicant already enroll in a Homebuyer Education Class with a certified instructor.  The class will prepare for mortgage readiness and identify potential barriers that could affect your readiness, including credit repair and debt reduction.  Identifying and working through these barriers sooner, rather than later, will better prepare you for a successful loan closing.

The following organizations can provide more information about homebuyer education classes.  Upon completion of the class, you will receive a completion certificate.
